Megsales gives 30-day parts and labor warranty from the date of invoice on majority of items purchased from us except where indicated otherwise on the invoice. Certain items maybe covered directly by the manufacturer after the 30 day period. In these cases, after the 30 day warranty from Megsales expires, it is the buyer's/dealer's or the dealer's end -user's responsibility to deal directly with the manufacturer for any warranty related issues. We do not guarantee compatibility with any specific operating system, software or platform. Please make sure that the item you are purchasing is compatible with platform that you intend to install it prior to ordering it.
Fitness of Purpose: For wholesale customers, Megsales cannot warrant any product as fit for any particular use or purpose and we strongly recommend customers evaluate a sample unit to determine by their criteria whether a product will work in their configuration. In the world of computers there are many products that may be incompatible with a certain part. In cases like this it is your responsibility to determine the compatibility of the product into a standard application in which the part will work. We are unable to take parts back because they will not work in a particular brand product if they function correctly in others.
Damaged Product: Any product "disassembled" by the customer will VOID all warranties.
Product Returns (RMA)
Product should only be returned to Megsales if it is defective (used Laptop battery not included). Majority of products that we sell are OFF-LEASED or USED, so they may have imperfections as described in the product's listing. The product's physical condition is posted each time we list the item, so in case you are not completely satisfied with the product/s and you want to return the product/s, you will be subjected to 15% restocking fee. Please return product within 30-days of receipt, with an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number written clearly on the box (To get your RMA number, please call us at 626-294-9990 or email email@example.com), please include a printed copy of the RMA paperwork inside the box. Refunds will be issued within 3-5 business days upon receipt of product at Megsales-USA. Returned items must be complete with no missing parts. Goods returned incomplete will be sent back at buyer's expense. Service Fee on working product may apply: Any items sent back with no defect, may be subject to a service fee, including a loaded OS machine that may simply require the correct driver for the device to function. Beyond that, all sales are final. Shipping charges are not refundable/Customer is responsible for all shipping costs back to Megsales.
RMA Details: Be specific when listing the reason for return, and include in written form with the product. This will assist us in making a correct determination as to problem resolution.
Pack Returns Carefully: Customers must pack defective items being returned as if they were new and working. Failure to do so may invalidate both the RMA and the warranty. Megsales is not responsible for goods that are damaged during shipment or misused/abused by the customer/carrier.

Out of Warranty Items: Items sent to Megsales that are OUT OF WARRANTY will be returned to customer at customer's expense unless previously agreed to repair at owner’s expense.
Credit Issued on Defective Products: Should a replacement for a defective item not be available, at our discretion a suitable replacement shall be issued. If a suitable replacement is not available within 7 days from the receipt of your RMA, Megsales will issue a credit. If purchased by credit card a credit will be posted to your credit card. If paid by check or money order, a check will be issued. RMA credits are for product only and do NOT include any reimbursement for shipping charges. This does not apply to used laptop batteries. Used laptop batteries are not warranted.
Operating System: We are not responsible for any software loaded on the equipment by the customer and do not guarantee that any software that may be loaded will be compatible with the equipment. Check with the software manufacturer for compatibility before purchasing.
Megsales will not be held responsible for loss
of personal data. It will be the customer’s sole responsibility to back up any
LIMITED WARRANTY: Warranties may be limited on some items. Please check our sales literature and your invoice to verify the warranty is as expected. Replacement RMA items will be shipped back to customers via FedEx Ground.
We use FedEx for shipping and we will accommodate customer's who wants to use own shipping account. We do not mark up shipping costs. Shipping and shipping insurance charges are passed along to you at our actual cost.
Support and Customer Service
Call 626-294-9990, Monday thru Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM, PST. We offer technical support for hardware problems within warranty only. Megsales will attempt to assist you in fixing your computer over the phone. If this is unsuccessful, you will be given an RMA number, and directions on where the product must be shipped to be repaired. Products returned without a valid RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the box will be refused. For products to be repaired under warranty, Megsales must be contacted with in 30 days from the delivery date of the product needing repair. If a system is sent in to us and it is determined that the user is at fault for the computer's failure, the customer will be billed for any shipping costs, labor fees, and any other costs incurred for the repair.
Other Terms and Conditions
If you purchased this computer with no operating system installed, Megsales will support hardware problems only. If you are loading your own operating system, you are responsible for loading the "proper software" that is needed to operate any peripherals attached to the computer; unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase. The proper software includes the operating system and any other software/drivers needed to operate the computer and its peripherals. Megsales and its affiliates, assume no liability for the improper loading and or usage of any software other than the operating system and hardware. Megsales and its affiliates assumes no liability if you, the customer, knowingly or accidentally format, partition or delete files from your hard drive, making your computer inoperable. We reserve the right to correct pricing and other errors that may occur on this Web site.
TERMS OF WARRANTIES. The Thirty-day Parts & Labor Limited Warranty becomes effective on the date of shipment from Seller. All warranties are granted to the initial customer end-user only and are nontransferable. Removal of hardware from a System and use of such hardware in a different system or configuration voids all applicable limited warranties. Any claims under these warranties must be made before the end of the applicable warranty period. During such period, if Megsales determines that a part or system is defective in material or workmanship, Megsales, at its option, will provide you with a repaired part or system or replace any part or system that is covered by the applicable warranty. In the event Megsales provides a repaired or replacement part, telephonic technical assistance will be provided. Megsales reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent new or serviceable reconditioned parts and systems. Megsales' responsibility is limited to repair or replacement, either of which may be selected by Megsales at its sole discretion. The Thirty-day Replacement Parts Limited Warranty covers only defects arising under normal use and do not include malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, problems with electrical power, usage not in accordance with product instructions, acts of nature, unusual temperatures or humidity, improper installation, or damage determined by Abacus Used Computers to have been caused by the customer, or repairs made by anyone other than Megsales, or you with the assistance of Megsales technical support.
IN NO EVENT SHALL Megsales or it's affiliates BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR LOST PROFITS OR OTHER SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSSES, COSTS OR EXPENSES OF ANY KIND, HOWEVER CAUSED, AND WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER Megsales HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, LOSSES, COSTS OR EXPENSES. THE TOTAL LIABILITY IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID TO YOU BY SELLER UNDER THIS AGREEMENT. EXCEPT AS SET FORTH HEREIN, Megsales MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND DISCLAIM AND NEGATE ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND CONFORMITY TO MODELS OR SAMPLES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. The warranties set forth herein give you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. No variation or exceptions in the terms stated herein can be made. A "full refund" as used above shall include the purchase price paid by the customer, but shall not include shipping costs, insurance or, if applicable, import and export duties, and any other fees and charges imposed by government or quasi-governmental agencies, all of which must be paid by you.
GOVERNING LAW, JURISDICTION AND COSTS: These limited warranties are incorporated into and are essential and material provisions of the Terms and Conditions of Sale of Seller's parts and systems to you. All disputes arising out of or related to the limited warranties set forth herein (customer disputes) shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. The customer hereby consents to the jurisdiction and venue of the State courts of California to resolve any and all customer disputes with Seller and the customer waives all defenses to such jurisdiction and venue including, but not limited to, any defense based on inconvenient forum. In the event the customer and Seller are unable to resolve any customer dispute, and any collection action, suit or other judicial proceeding is commenced, the prevailing party in any such collection action, suit or judicial proceeding shall be entitled to recover its costs and reasonable attorneys' fees incurred. All Trademarks are property of the registered owner.
